Markilux Syncra

The markilux Syncra is a versatile freestanding awning system designed to create generous shade in open outdoor spaces where wall-mounted awnings are not possible, practical or preferred. With its strong two-post frame, solid cross connection and choice of compatible markilux awnings or pergola systems, Syncra offers an elegant solution for gardens, patios, terraces, hospitality areas and commercial outdoor seating.

Unlike the single-post markilux Planet, the Syncra is designed for larger and more structured shade coverage. It can be configured with one awning on one side, or with awnings on both sides to create a freestanding double awning system. This makes it ideal for central seating areas, open lawns, courtyards, restaurants, cafés, hotels and spaces where shade is needed away from the building.

Depending on the awning model selected, the markilux Syncra can shade areas of up to 60m², with individual awning systems available up to 7 metres wide with a 4.5 metre extension. For larger areas, systems can also be coupled together, creating substantial shade coverage while maintaining a clean, coordinated appearance.

The Syncra can be fixed to suitable concrete foundations for permanent installations or installed using stabilisation boxes where foundation work is not preferred. These boxes can also be finished with aluminium tops, timber-style covers or planter options, helping the system integrate more naturally into the surrounding outdoor space.

A wide range of compatible markilux folding-arm awnings and pergola awnings can be used with the Syncra frame, allowing the system to be tailored to your space, preferred style and level of protection. Options may include Shadeplus for low sun and privacy, integrated LED lighting, motorised controls, smart home operation, frame colour choices and a wide selection of markilux fabrics.
